Rose Flora Application Notes

Dormant Season: At early part of dormant season apply one Rose Flora topical treatment with 10 % Wilt Pruf(3/4 pints/gal) for mild climates or increase to 20% Wilt Pruf (1 ½ pints /gal) for additional Winter protection in colder climates to remaining foliage and stems. Apply one Rose Flora broadcast treatment to surface of Rose bed and 6' perimeter.

Growing Season: Apply one Rose Flora broadcast treatment 2 in Spring prior to the appearance of foliage to Rose bed surface and 6’ perimeter. At advent of growing season apply one Rose Flora topical treatment1 with 10% Wilt Pruf (3/4 pints/gal) to all parts of Rose bush including bottoms of leaves. Repeat this topical treatment every 2 months. In addition apply one Rose Flora topical treatment 1 with 3% Wilt Pruf (1/2 cup/gal) weekly to all parts of Rose bush including bottoms of leaves. Set sprayer on fine spray, wet all foliage without excessive runoff to conserve treatment solution.

Compost: application of Rose Flora broadcast treatment 2 to compost will activate compost and provide additional protection as compost is added to Rose Bed.

Additional Care: Remove and destroy any infested leaves from the surrounding area. These leaves carry the fungus spores and will increase the risk of re-infestation if not destroyed.

Caution: Although Rose Flora is compatible with most insecticides and fungicides, applying them together can be risky. If your rose is sensitive to the insecticide, it will be more sensitive when applied with Wilt Pruf. The protective barrier that Wilt Pruf creates will hold the insecticide on the foliage longer, most likely leading to greater sensitivity. We specifically do not recommend applying Diazinon in the Rose Flora/Wilt Pruf solution for this reason. It may be applied separately.

1  Rose Flora Topical Treatment: mix 2 teaspoons  of Rose Flora liquid awith 1 gallon of water, let stand at room temperature out of direct sunlight for 24 to 48 hours. Use within 10 days, add Wilt Pruf immediately prior to use and mix thoroughly. Wilt Pruf provides a physical barrier to reinfestation by black spot or mildew and acts as a sticker/spreader. If you are not using Wilt Pruf, we recommend using an alternate sticker/spreader, either one of those commercially available or liquid detergent may also work. It is best to use solution as soon as possible, after being mixed for several days, a small residue may build up which may affect sprayer performance.

2  Rose Flora Broadcast Treatment: mix 1 teaspoon of Rose Flora liquid with 1 pint of water, apply with hose end sprayer for coverage of 500 square feet (you may apply immediately, it is not necessary to let this stand before applying.
